Conceptual models

In the early stages of the design process it is very useful to experiment with tactile shapes and spatial forms. This is a quick to build solution with the capacity to follow the dynamic changes of the creative workflow. These models are characterized by simplicity with our usual emphasis of high-quality finish.

Presentation models

The presentation of a new project is strongly supported by a physical model, that showcases the outcome of the creative process in a way that is clearly expressed and easily understood. These models have a sculpture-like character with every detail of the given scale, using materials such as wood or monochrome acrylic.

Marketing models

These tailor-made, purpose-oriented architectural models are fundamental to the advertisement of projects and elevate the sales process to a different level. Here the smallest details and the different surfaces are brought to life in a fully realistic manner.

Prototypes

In special cases in order to display a new design, assess the concept of a new building element or any desired object, it is easier to create a 1:1 model than actually have it manufactured. Prototypes can be produced for any given project at any point during it’s development to help find the most functional and aesthetically perfect solution.

About us

It is an exceptionally lucky scenario, when, people come together during the creative process who are not only connected by labour, but stand by each other as friends, united by a common worldview, ambition, and faith in their vocation. Modularis is our dream come true. Building on various architectural fields, our goal is to pour sublime inspiration into solid form. All three of our founders come from a background of architectural engineering and design. During the past few years, we have been exploring various aspects of our chosen professions and walking our individual paths. We have come together in 2015 with the vision of creating a trailblazing venture, which builds on our experience and passion while pushing the traditionally defined boundaries of the model-making field.

Peter Archibald Bodola

Founder / Workshop Manager

Having finished his engineering degree at the University of Pécs, Peter went on to complete his MSc in sustainable architecture at the London Metropolitan University. As the workshop manager at one of the leading model making studios in the UK, he has worked with many well-known architectural offices around the world. Thanks to his diverse experiences, he has a 360° understanding of the engineering, modeling and visualization aspects of any given project. An avid football player, snowboarder and cyclist, he has recently rode across the continent from London to Budapest and would go back for more.

Nóra Szigeti

Founder / Architect

Thanks to her architectural, graphic and design experience, Nora has a uniquely comprehensive understanding of visual culture. She has worked with international and Hungarian architectural and interior design studios and gained her post-gradual qualifications at the Chamber of Hungarian Architects. A fluent English and Italian speaker, her insatiable quest for knowledge led her to a number of graphic design courses from Milan to Budapest, expanding her scope of expertise. She is a cultural omnivore and in her stolen free moments renovates vintage Italian furniture.

Alex Fülöp

Founder / Engineer

With years of experience working at a leading architectural studio in Budapest, Alex has a firm grip on all steps of visual design, planning and construction required for projects of all scales. He acquired practical skills at a technical college and went onto complete his studies at the Faculty of Architecture at Budapest University of Technology and Economics. An innovative thinker and entrepreneur, he established his own construction firm, where the priority is to fully understand challenges and to find the most optimal solutions. In his spare time, he coaches children’s biking teams and when his daredevil nature strikes, he goes paragliding.

When it comes to meaningful international collaboration, we believe distance is no longer an obstacle.

We understand the importance of finding the right materials and define the depth of the details, therefore our workflow includes sample boards that can help our clients visualize the final product.
Once the model is finished, thanks to our professional shipping partner, it can be safely delivered anywhere on the globe.

Thank you for the architectural models you delivered to the Gartnerløkken and Knudsenkvartalet projects in Bergen. Aside from the models having a great detailing and materials quality, both the production process where you mostly talked directly with our Architect, as well as the delivery and packaging was excellent. Looking forward to working with you again.

Axel J. Pritzbauer
Marketing Leader - Axer Eiendom AS

We collaborated with Modularis workshop on an exciting mixed use development proposal in close proximity of the river Danube in Budapest. Not only they delivered beautiful illustrative models of the scheme but they played a creative role during the design process. Being seasoned architects they were not merely implementing a vision but also contributing to it. Collaboration between practices in different countries can be challenging but the international experience of Modularis clearly ensured a seamless and productive relationship in this case.
